TECHNICAL MANAGER PRODUCTION

Välinge is expanding rapidly with unmatched profitability in the flooring industry. We are working intensively with the transformation of the flooring industry from the first generation of mechanical locking systems to the future locking system – the fold down locking.

Our current licensees need support in the implementation process. As a consequence of the success, we also benefit from increased market shares with new licensees who need support.

From our extensive patent portfolio and technology base we offer in addition customized solutions to existing technology demands in our licensees’ operations as well as technology support on new challenges that generate new inventions.

The most recent ground breaking invention by Välinge is a new type of flooring that is expected to become just as important as the laminate floor and the parquet floor all together. Our pioneering licensees do currently engage us heavily in the first market launches in all dimensions – material supply, project management and engineering of industrial solutions.

We need more skilled, professional and creative engineers who thrive to work with everything from small detailed tasks to complex technology launches in an international environment.

Tasks
• You will be in charge of the 12 000 m2 large production hall and the equipment therein.
• Although we only run full-scale production occasionally, your task is to ensure that when we do, then we run with good availability in the lines while maintaining the accuracy demands of a few hundreds of millimetre in wood production.
• You will also work as Industrialisation Engineer with the emphasis on identifying and developing new technical solutions that is patentable.
• You will be the project manager for new machinery investments and you will also be in charge for the installation.
• You will be the natural expert for our production colleagues when we have demanding production runs or malfunctioning machinery.
• In the long run, you will be in charge of a number of technicians.

Skills
• You have most likely a Masters in mechanical engineering or equivalent knowledge from years of professional experience.
• You have most likely worked as a production engineer, ranging from hands on fire fighting with malfunctioning machinery to procurement and installations of new machinery.
• You are most probably a technical manager in production today.
• You like to work with people and to ensure that the complete organisation work according to best practice.
• You have a Lean Production mind in all that you do in production.
• You have a thorough technical understanding and analytic mind with a genuine interest in technology, where you have a back bone feeling of the difference between a prototype solution and an industrial solution.

Time schedule
Our aim is deal with received applications during week 27.
If we find your application applicable, we wish to finalize the discussions already during week 28.
Our vacation period is then week 29-32, after which we continue our on going search for skilled colleagues that will help us expand to new horizons.
