Four-side locking system
New European Patent No 877 130 issued on January 26, 2000
This divisional patent with priority April 1994 protects flooring panels,
which are mechanically locked on long and short sides.
The main claim specifies in short that: |
| The floor panels are rectangular with mechanical locking systems
on long and short sides. |
| The two locking systems are made in one piece with the core
| The long side has a mechanical locking system with a strip,
locking element and locking groove. |
| The long side is possible to displace and angle up. |
| The short side has a flexible strip with a locking element
that snaps into a locking groove and locks when two panels are displaced
horizontally towards each other. |
This new patent is very strong against all products that could be angled and snapped according to our main claim. There are to our knowledge no prior art that could be used against this patent in order to claim that the invention is not new. |
