New US patent received
Viken, Sweden - January 13, 2002
Välinge adds the 7:th US patent to their family of patents in the field of glue-free floorings. This will particularly strengthen the protection of their new technology for locking mechanisms made of aluminium.
Dec 4, 2001 Välinge Aluminium was rewarded its 7:th US patent. The
patent US 6,324,803 is a divisional patent based on a PCT application
from 1994.
The protection covers some vital components in the new aluminum based
technology for joining floorboards without glue. It is Välinges
first patent specifically designed to protect vital components in this
new technology.
The new aluminium based locking system will be the foundation for Välinges
partners to develop a wide range of new flooring products. The new glue-free
system is anticipated to capture major market share within the value market
of high quality flooring.
Välinges long-term objective is to specialize in development
of new flooring systems, which will offer consumers benefits and special
values.
Välinges technology to use a locking system made of aluminium
is very advanced. To Välinges knowledge, no infringer has appeared
on the market.
