Classic flooring with modern technology

Välinge has combined design with engineering and reinvented the traditional parquet flooring. Now everybody can enjoy the beauty of a classic flooring and still get the low cost and speedy installation that they expect from glue free flooring invented by Välinge Aluminium.
Välinge, together with Berry and Alloc is showing at Domotex a new
revolutionary flooring concept that will set a new standard for how laminate
flooring looks. The system consists of laminate floor panels with a size
of 8 by 52 cm. The floor panels can be installed in advanced herringbone
patterns similar to classic solid wood parquet floors. High installation
speed and accuracy is obtained due to a unique mechanical locking system.
The new system was developed during several years in an exciting project
that piloted a great number of new ideas and inventions. In 2001 several
of these ideas were formalized and comprehensive patents were applied for.
At present, several patents are pending, which cover the locking system,
floor panels, installation and production methods for both wood and laminate
floorings.
The products were official launched in December 12, 2002 in connection
with the official opening of the Välinge Aluminium innovation centre
in Viken.
Välinge invests heavily in production capacity for the new flooring
system. Substantial capacity already exists, which mainly is used for
evaluation programmes and global marketing activities. The next step
will be completed
in May 2003 and give an additional capacity that exceeds 2 milj sqm per
year. This capacity will be used to support our licensees with deliveries
until their new production lines are operational.
The new high tech production line will utilize several production methods
never used before in flooring production.
