Välinge grants MeisterWerke license on Powder Technology

Viken, Sweden - October 20, 2010

The license gives MeisteWerke global rights to use the new Välinge Powder Technology for flooring and wall panels.

Välinge welcomes MeisterWerke as licensee and partner in this new technology field and is convinced that MeisterWerke, as a high quality producer guided by the motto ”Trust and Strength in Innovation”, is well suited to further develop and commercialize the Välinge Powder Technology.

This partnership, which was initiated this spring, resulted in a license agreement signed by both parties in MeisterWerke’s facility in Meiste September 20, 2010. The agreement comprises industrial development, production and worldwide sales of products based on Välinge’s Powder Technology that allows flexibility and cost reduction in production as well as superior product features regarding surface structures, wear and impact resistance, colour variations and mechanical effects.

New innovative products based on powder technology will be used by MeisterWerke to strengthen its wall panel and flooring business. MeisterWerke is also looking at other applications where Välinge’s Powder Technology could add new features and additional value.

Välinge and MeisterWerke anticipate that new floor categories based on Powder Technology will capture large market shares mainly from stone and ceramic but also from traditional high quality laminate floors.
