Välinge and Mullican signs License agreement for hardwood flooring

Mullican Flooring of Johnson City, Tenn., has decided to introduce Välinge’s 2G mechanical locking systems on its engineered wood flooring and have signed a license agreement with Välinge.

Mullican Flooring have signed a global, non-exclusive, license agreement to use Välinge’s patented 2G technology for mechanical locking systems with Fold Down installation. The Fold Down installation method is fast, easy and suitable for glue free installation as well as glue down or nail down installation methods.

“It is exciting for us to support Mullican Flooring with their launch of mechanical locking systems from their US manufacturing entities. The development was preceded by Mullican having marketed engineered hardwood flooring products from Asia using the Välinge locking systems and reinforces the trend towards more hardwood flooring production in North America with mechanical locking systems.” said Mr. Niclas Håkansson, CEO, Välinge.
