Välinge signs its 5th license on the 5G Side Push Technology.

With the granting of the first Chinese 5G-Wedge License Agreement Välinge now has 5 licensees on its 5G Side Push patents and technology.

Recently it was announced that ter Hürne, Germany, had chosen the 5G-S system which is on the market also by Kährs, Sweden, since beginning of March. MeisterWerke from Germany uses a Side Push Fold Down system known as Masterclic Plus also under a Välinge license and has shown excellent performance both in wood and laminate. MeisterWerke and Välinge have a cross-license agreement on the Side Push technology where Välinge has obtained exclusive licensing rights to the patents of MeisterWerke in this field for its technology. Marty from France was the first licensee to sign up for the Välinge designed 5G-Wedge system also covered by this cross-license agreement.

Välinge is now pleased to announce it has entered into a global non-exclusive license agreement with the Chinese company Dalian Sanlin Wooden Product Co., Ltd. for use of the 5G-Wedge system on the short sides of their floorboards.

Sanlin is a manufacturer of engineered multilayer parquet flooring and solid wood parquet, located in Dalian City in China. Sanlin is a member of the Jinqiao Floor Group which holds the Unilin license.
The Välinge 5G-W short side not only performs excellent with the Välinge 2G long side but has proven to perform also very good with a Uniclic long side. The 5G-W short side is easy to produce and provides a very fast and secure installation of the floorboards.

The 5G-Wedge technology is one of the latest developments in the fold down technology by Välinge. 5G-Wedge is a side push system where the tongue is displaced along and perpendicular to the joint by the long side of the next row. The tongue is made in one piece and comprises several small wedges that are automatically separated from the main tongue body when the tongue is inserted during production into the panel edge.

Välinge is very pleased that the Chinese parquet producer Dalian Sanlin Wooden Product has taken the decision to work close with Välinge and to introduce a 5G-wedge side push system as the first producer in China.
