Viken, Sweden - April 23, 2008On April 21, 2008 Classen and Välinge have executed an agreement which puts an end to their legal disputes related to fold down patent rights and creates a framework that allows easier access to the respective Megaloc and 5G technologies for future licenses.
Three new patent victories at EPO
Viken, Sweden - April 17, 2008The European Opposition Division at EPO has, after three separate oral proceedings during the last weeks, maintained Välinge’s European patents EP 0,969,164, EP 1,427, 902 and EP 1, 497,510 as granted or with minor amendments.

Armstrong and Välinge Expand Patent Cooperation
Viken, Sweden - March 12, 2008Armstrong World Industries, Inc. and Välinge Innovation AB have expanded their patent cooperation through a licensing agreement whereby Armstrong grants Välinge access to its NextGen™ locking engineered wood technology (US Patent No. 7,261,947). NextGen technology applies Välinge’s mechanical locking system to certain engineered wood structures to provide a more dimensionally stable engineered wood floor with higher tolerance to moisture and climate changes.

Classen and Välinge enter into a cross license agreement
Viken, Sweden - January 09, 2008Classen and Välinge have agreed upon a Head of Agreement for a cross license agreement regarding the fold down technology for flooring panels. It is the mutual objective of both parties to terminate all legal actions and oppositions and offer present licensees an indemnification on the other party’s patents. New licensees will be able to receive a license based on both party’s patents.
