Viken, Sweden - December 18, 2007The jury found that the accused Alloc parties proved that all of the asserted Pergo patent claims of two US patents were invalid, that none of the claims were infringed and that the Pergo patents were based on confidential information supplied by Välinge during license discussions in 1994.

One of them comprises a flexible and displaceable tongue that is activated and displaced automatically into a tongue groove with a side pressure caused by a long edge tongue of a new panel installed in a new row. This installation principle is shown below.

Viken, Sweden - September 21, 2007In opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office in Munich, Akzenta upheld its European Patent EP 1 415 056 covering a fold down system with a loose locking element having a flexible snap tab. The decision is open for appeal.

Viken, Sweden - June 27, 2007Välinge filed on June 25th 2007 an infringement case in the District Court of Mannheim based on its registered Utility Model DE 20 200 6019 869. The complaint is directed against Classen´s Megaloc product and involves several companies of the Classen group : Akzenta Paneele + Profile GmbH, Classen Industries GmbH and Classen Vertriebs GmbH.
