Sales Manager Norway

Välinge Innovation has for several years successfully developed and commercialised new techniques within the flooring and furniture industry and late this year Välinge Flooring successfully launched their first line of hardened wood flooring with Woodura® surface technology. Välinge Flooring are now expanding to Norway and are therefore looking for a Sales Manager for Norway - a person who has good knowledge about the Norwegian building material industry or preferably the flooring industry.

Your primary focus will initially be to set the market strategy and sales plan for Norway, to build the sales organisation and execute on the strategy. You will be responsible for building relations with potential new customers and for sales of Välinge Innovations own branded products, Välinge Flooring. Once the market strategies and plans are set, you should run the sales and operations in Norway, and therefore we see that you are a self-motivated person who has good knowledge about the Norwegian flooring market and value chain. This position gives you a great opportunity to be a part of building Välinge Flooring in Norway, an exciting expansion phase for Välinge Innovation.

As a person you are business orientated, committed and effective. You work purposefully and structured and are driven by building long-term relationships. You are a team player and have an excellent ability to collaborate, regardless of roles and levels. You have documented experience from B2B-selling to resellers as well as through distributors, and preferably multi-year experience of sales management and the Norwegian flooring industry. 

Responsibilities

 Your first and primary responsibility will be to develop a go to market strategy for the Norwegian market, including:

  • Sales channels strategy, product offer, pricing strategy and supply chain setup
  •  Organizational setup and operational plan to execute the strategy

When the strategic plan is in place, your responsibility will also include:

  • Sales responsibility for customers in the flooring industry
  • Ensure close contact with the industry, primarily through customer visits
  • Collection and reporting of market information
  • Contribution to marketing and PR activities
  • Educate the industry in the usage of hardened wood technologies in flooring
  • Participate in national and international fairs and exhibitions

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales management, country management or comparable experience, preferably from flooring or building material industry.
  • Strong commercial track record and experience in sales, with a widespread network in the Norwegian flooring industry
  • Outstanding communication skills, persistency and discipline in your follow-up. Your impact is strong and you have patience and the necessary overview to independently handle a long-term sales process
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and good networking skills and value creation focus for your customers
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English with high level of IT literacy

About Välinge Innovation

Välinge Innovation AB is a Swedish innovation and floor producing company based in Viken. Over the years we have introduced numerous innovations to the flooring and furniture industry that have now become industry standard. During 2020 we are launching our first hardwood flooring products (made in Sweden) to retailers in the US, Asia and selected markets in Europe under the name Välinge Flooring. Our patented technologies Woodura® and 5G® are already well proven, and our R&D facility in Viken is considered to be one of the world's most advanced R&D centre related to flooring technology.

The Woodura® surface technology is based on fusing a thin sheet of wood with a wood fiber core through a powder mix layer. The powder mix perfectly fills up the natural openings of the wood and enhances the wood appearance. Moreover, it creates a significantly stronger surface with a hardness significantly greater than a traditional solid oak layer, and at the same it reduces the environmental impact as it uses 10 times less lumber for the same amount of flooring.
