• The patents asserted in the ITC procedure are part of the Extended Patent Protection (EPP) for LVT/SPC/WPC offered by Välinge to its licensees since January 2016.
• Välinge licensees who have signed the EPP and properly label, report and pay for their LVT/SPC/WPC products with Välinge locking systems according to contractual obligations will not be affected by Unilin’s complaint.
Välinge has signed new license and cooperation agreements as a result of the increasing demand for its Liteback® core technology. The machines used for the technology—also called “groving units”—are currently being delivered to customers in China and additional machines have been ordered via HOMAG China Golden Field.
Chinese company Durasein® has signed a license agreement with Välinge Innovation for the use of Threespine® in its solid surface products. The agreement will enable Durasein to combine its unique material with click furniture technology, thereby offering improved assembly experience and new design opportunities.
