Välinge has filed an action for patent infringement in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware against Halstead New England Corporation, part of the Halstead International Group (Halstead) and Home Depot Incorporated (Home Depot) for the wrongful importation, marketing and sales of LVT and WPC flooring products marketed under the names ALLURE ULTRA, ALLURE ISOCORE and TRAFFICMASTER. It is believed that these products are being manufactured in China under license from the company Innovations4Flooring.
KIRKBI, the holding and investment company of the Kirk Kristiansen family, has signed an agreement to acquire KKR’s 49.8% stake in Välinge, a Swedish industrial R&D company, alongside the founding Pervan family that via Pervanovo Invest AB will maintain its majority ownership of 50.2%. The partnership with KIRKBI aims to further strengthen Välinge’s position as a leading industrial R&D company and flooring producer.
Pervanovo Invest AB, the majority owner of Välinge, has acquired all shares of the Croatian wood processing company Tehnodrvo d.o.o. The cooperation will enable Välinge to secure supply of high-quality veneer for its Woodura® technology and Tehnodrvo to implement 5G® fold down in its parquet flooring products.

Välinge has purchased all Inotec’s patents regarding one-piece fold-down systems (all-side or short-side), which are registered in numerous countries such as the US, Canada as well as China and with many more applications worldwide including Europe. This patent portfolio also consists of several applications with some impressive specifications, which are expected to be granted shortly in Europe and other areas.
