Indian conglomerateWelspunhas signed a license agreement with Välinge Innovation for the use of locking technologies 5G®, 5G-i™ and 2G™ as well as Liteback® core technology. The technology implementation will enable high-quality lightweight SPC flooring with state-of-the-art locking systems.

• The patents asserted in the ITC procedure are part of the Extended Patent Protection (EPP) for LVT/SPC/WPC offered by Välinge to its licensees since January 2016.
• Välinge licensees who have signed the EPP and properly label, report and pay for their LVT/SPC/WPC products with Välinge locking systems according to contractual obligations will not be affected by Unilin’s complaint.
Välinge has signed new license and cooperation agreements as a result of the increasing demand for its Liteback® core technology. The machines used for the technology—also called “groving units”—are currently being delivered to customers in China and additional machines have been ordered via HOMAG China Golden Field.
